Progresso® Announces Winners of Souper You™ Debut Contest



America’s votes have been counted, and today Progresso Soup announced the three winners of the Progresso Souper You Debut contest. After each receiving thousands of votes, these women will head to New York City for a trip of a lifetime that includes a two-night stay at a luxurious Manhattan hotel, a head-to-toe makeover from a renowned stylist, and a $1,000 shopping spree and personal wardrobe consultation at an upscale department store.

Progresso Soup sponsored the Souper You Debut contest to help consumers celebrate great taste and a healthy lifestyle, inspired by its 40 delicious soups with 100 calories or less per serving.

“We frequently receive calls, letters, and emails from people who absolutely love the taste of our soup,” said Taylor West, Associate Marketing Manager of Progresso Soup. “We wanted to find a way for Progresso consumers to celebrate together and share their stories. The contest and makeover prize was a small way to say ‘thank you’ to the thousands who have thanked us in the past.”

From January to March contestants entered the contest by visiting, submitting a photograph, and explaining in a short essay what they love about Progresso Light and 100 Calorie Soups and why they want a makeover.

“The response that we received was fantastic,” said Joshua Ahlberg, Senior Promotion Marketing Planner of Progresso Soup. “People were really enthusiastic about sharing why they love our soups!” The Progresso team selected ten finalists after examining thousands of entries, and the public then voted to choose the final three winners.
