Rooted in food, opportunity and connection.
We invest in communities through charitable giving, food donations and volunteer efforts, helping expand access to food and strengthen local organizations.
Strong communities start with access to food, opportunity and connection. At General Mills, we use the power of food to help make that possible.
We support communities where our people live and work through philanthropic giving, food donations and employee volunteerism, working alongside partners to help people access what they need and to create lasting impact.
We bring together our scale as a global food company with local insight from employees and community partners.
That means investing in programs and partnerships that expand access to food, strengthen local organizations and support the places where we live and work.
This work comes to life through:
No single effort changes a community. But together, they start to.
Our community investments are focused on areas where we can make the greatest difference.
We expand access to affordable, nutritious food by supporting food banks, strengthening food recovery systems and improving access to school meals.
Access to food shapes more than a single moment. It influences long-term health, stability and opportunities for families and children.
We support organizations and initiatives that advance belonging and inclusion, with a focus on community-led solutions and local leadership.
It begins with listening to ensure people feel more connected and better supported in the communities they’re part of.
We invest in the places where our employees live and work, supporting education, economic opportunity and local nonprofits that reflect the priorities of each community.
Our hometown is where we began and where we continue to invest deeply.
From expanding food access to supporting students and families, everything starts with what communities tell us they need most. We prioritize partnerships that help expand opportunities, particularly in communities that are facing barriers.
In communities around the world, employees drive local impact through volunteerism, partnerships and our Hometown Giving program.
They nominate organizations and lead efforts to give back through time and talent. This involvement strengthens the connection between our business and the people we serve.
We measure our impact to understand what’s working and where we can do more.
