As president of Annie’s, Carla Vernón has responsibility for Annie’s, Epic, Immaculate Baking, Cascadian Farm and Muir Glen portfolios.
Vernón joined Annie’s in January 2017 as vice president and business unit director of Cascadian Farm and Natural & Organic Growth Acceleration.
She led the Cascadian Farm business and the development of the long-range plan of our North America Natural and Organic business before being named president of Annie's in August 2017.
Prior to joining the Annie’s, Vernón directed the snacks portfolio that included Nature Valley, Larabar, Fiber One and Fruit Snacks.
She and her team accelerated the fast-growing Larabar by creating the "Food Made From Food" campaign. Vernón had also restored growth to Nature Valley that resulted in the highest level of unit sales in the brand’s history.
Vernón joined General Mills in 1998 as an associate marketing manager in Snacks.
Her roles at General Mills included Small Planet Foods, Snacks, Cereal, and Corporate Development.
Before joining General Mills, Vernón did environmental stewardship work for U.S. Senator Carol Moseley-Braun and The Nature Conservancy.
Vernón is a 2009 Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
