The General Mills Foundation's Twin Cities grants programs are an important part of General Mills' commitment to the community in which we have business operations.

As a major employer in the Minneapolis, Minn., region, we have a special leadership role to play. Through charitable giving, volunteerism and a positive presence, we are able to personalize General Mills’ commitment to being a good neighbor and an active, involved corporate citizen.

Twin Cities grants program
The General Mills Foundation accepts applications from non-profits serving the Twin Cities seven-county metro area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington counties) on an on-going basis. The Twin Cities grants program is a two-stage application process, started by an online Letter of Inquiry (LOI). Invited applicants will send a full proposal only after the LOI has been submitted online an reviewed. Paper copies will not be accepted.

Celebrating Communities of Color grants program  
Through the General Mills Celebrating Communities of Color grants program, the Foundation awards fify $10,000 grants to nonprofits in the Twin Cities seven-county metro area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington counties) that offer programs serving communities of color. Applications will be accepted online December 1st - February 1st.
