Celebrating Communities of Color grants program
The 2014 Celebrating Communities of Color Grant application is currently closed.
The General Mills Foundation is celebrating 60 years of giving. For the 2014 Celebrating Communities of Color Grant Program, we awarded a pool of $1 million grants ranging from $ 10,000 - $60,000. This was a one-time grant offering for 2014 only in recognition of the Foundation's 60th anniversary. The grants were open to nonprofits including schools, theaters and other Twin Cities organizations with programs that support people of color. The program was established 10 years ago in recognition of the Foundation's 50th anniversary and aligns with General Mills' commitment to diversity, which is a company core value and a key business strategy.
Since 2004, the program has served more than 700,000 children, families and individuals across the seven county metro area with a total of $5 million in grants.
