General Mills today announced plans to close its manufacturing facility in Midland, Ontario.

The company expects the transition to be completed by mid-calendar year 2016.

The decision will impact approximately 100 employees. General Mills said it will provide severance to all affected employees.

The Midland facility manufactures primarily refrigerated baked goods, and has been operated by General Mills since 1952.
