Use of integrated data exchange in the warehouse space saves time, enables a responsive replenishment, reduces errors and increases efficiency.
General Mills leverages the UN/EDIFACT or EANCOM standards to provide electronic integration with warehouses.
Specifically, we have standard integration built for the:
- Ship notice/manifest (DESADV)
- Receiving Advice (RECADV)
- Instruction to Dispatch (INSDES)
- Cargo/goods handling and movement message (HANMOV)
- Inventory Inquiry/Advice (INVRPT) transactions
On the X12 standard, we have integration built for Warehouse Shipping Order (940) and Warehouse Shipping Advice (945) transactions.
See our 3rd Party Location Implementation guide for more specifics on how we leverage these transactions with our storage partners: 3PL Onboarding Information
