Whole grains contain a powerful package of health-promoting substances.



Whole grains work to reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers. Whole grains also are a healthy way to manage weight, and researchers have begun to examine the benefits of whole grain for diabetics.

The biggest, single health-driven product improvement in General Mills' history came when we converted our entire Big G cereal line to include whole grain in 2005.

As a result, more than 27 million servings of Big G cereal now deliver the benefits of whole grain across America daily. Nearly 12 million kids are getting those benefits each day.
