Champions for Healthy Kids

The Champions for Healthy Kids youth nutrition and fitness program awards $500,000 annually in grants to community-based programs.

In conjunction with the American Dietetic Association Foundation, each year the General Mills Foundation awards 50 grants of up to $10,000 each – that's more than $2 million spanning the first four years of our giving.

These funds target grassroots efforts that develop creative ways – such as dance, karate memberships and cooking classes – to help youths adopt a physically active lifestyle that includes a balanced diet.

From Buffalo, N.Y., to Pawhuska, Okla., General Mills and the Champions for Healthy Kids grants program teaches toddlers, kids and teens lifelong skills to remain active and healthy.
