Boxtops for Education
Our largest initiative, Box Tops for Education has provided over
$220 million to America's schools since its inception. At last count, more than
90,000 K-8 schools were enrolled in the Box Tops for Education program — and
over 22 million households clip Box Tops to help earn money for their schools.
Box Tops for Education is unique, allowing schools to decide what items to buy
with the funds they receive from the program. From field trips to computers to
new furnaces, schools are able to purchase what the children in their school
need.
Save Lids to Save Lives®
Yoplait has focused on the fight against breast cancer, and in
the past eight years has given more than $17 million to the cause through its
Save Lids to Save Lives program. Yoplait has increased its financial
commitment to the program each year and, in 2005, donated more than $2 million
to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Spoonfuls of Stories®
Spoonfuls of Stories is a new partnership that is already having
an impact on children's literacy. Since 2002, the Cheerios brand has donated
over $2.0 million to First Book, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to
giving new books to children from low-income families, through the Spoonfuls of
Stories program. In addition, through Spoonfuls of Stories, more than 25
million high quality children's books have been given away free
inside boxes of Cheerios cereal.
