Internships
Internships in Quality & Regulatory Operations allow you to actively participate in the quality management process at General Mills. Your assignments are tailored to the plant's business needs as well as your educational background, skill set and career interests. Assignments are project-based and are designed to allow you to manage your own projects while interacting with many other functions within General Mills including: Operations, Engineering, Research & Development, Packaging, Marketing and Marketing Research.
Examples of intern projects from previous summers include:
- Improving finished product quality and consumer satisfaction by developing a trouble-shooting guide linking sensory attributes to system performance.
- Improving package liner seals to reduce consumer complaints.
- Improving consistency of cereal pellet size to improve cereal finished product quality.
- Improving and addressing causes for snack product breakage.
- Improving equipment sanitation practices.
- Developing implementation plan for new food safety regulations.
Outstanding interns will be considered for future internships or upon graduation, opportunities in our Quality Associate Program.
