Marketing
Internships
Our Associate Marketing Manager (AMM) internships serve two purposes. They provide experiences in brand management, helping you learn first-hand through projects and assignments. They also identify top talent for potential full-time positions at General Mills.
These are some examples of the accomplishments of some of our recent AMM interns:
- Executed seasonal cereal event including packaging, sales communication, FSI creative, advertising, public relations event, volume and forecasting.
- Created a new holiday-oriented snack package, including carton design, package graphics, in-pack promotional items, target market assessments, sales projections, price points, etc.
- Created a marketing strategy for a snack brand to defend its dominant market share and growth against a newly invigorated competitor. Project included analyzing competitor's business to understand their strengths, weaknesses, key competitive strategies and growth drivers; then contrasted strategies and developed a tactical defense plan.
Interns network with marketing and top corporate leaders, who provide an understanding of marketing's role in General Mills' success. Experiencing first-hand the innovative environment that makes General Mills an employer of choice, interns engage in a variety of educational and social activities with other General Mills interns throughout the summer.
