Mike Zechmeister

Mike Zechmeister was named vice president, treasurer of General Mills in January 2011. In this capacity, he is responsible for worldwide capital structure management including cash management, debt and equity financing, share repurchase, financial hedging and company insurance programs. 

He is also a managing partner in General Mills Ventures, which invests strategically in emerging businesses and technologies for General Mills.

Zechmeister joined General Mills in 1990 and has since served in various financial roles across multiple operating units within the company. 

In 2005, Zechmeister was named vice president, finance for the Pillsbury division. In July 2007, he was appointed vice president of finance, U.S. Retail Sales. 

Prior to these roles, Zechmeister held finance positions covering businesses such as Yoplait, the Snacks division, and Betty Crocker, as well as finance responsibilities in manufacturing, new business development, audit and corporate strategy.
