Luis Gabriel Merizalde

Vice President; President, Europe, Middle East and Africa

Luis Merizalde is the leader of the General Mills business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Education University of New Hampshire, bachelor's degree, 1973 Boards Swiss American Chamber of Commerce

Since 2009, he has overseen activities in 25 countries and five plants in the region. He manages a portfolio of global brands such as Häagen-Dazs, Old El Paso, Green Giant, Nature Valley, and Betty Crocker.

Prior to this role he was the managing director of our Australia and Asia buisiness for three years, which included managing business in New Zealand.

Merizalde joined General Mills in 1999 as regional vice president of Latin America and South Africa.

Prior to joining General Mills, Merizalde’s career spanned more than two decades in various leadership positions in the food industry.
