Jeffrey L. Harmening

Senior Vice President; President, Big G cereals

Jeff Harmening was promoted to senior vice president effective April 1, 2011.

He was previously named president of General Mills’ Big G cereal division in June 2007. Harmening served as vice president of marketing for Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), a General Mills/Nestlé joint venture with headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. In this role, Harmening led CPW’s marketing strategy and activity in markets around the world.

Prior to his role with CPW, Harmening led Big G New Enterprises, where he successfully launched Berry Burst Cheerios.

Harmening began his career at General Mills in 1994. Since that time, he has served in various marketing roles in the Betty Crocker, Yoplait USA and Big G divisions.

Harmening was promoted to marketing director in 2000, and held marketing director leadership roles in Big G New Enterprises and Foodservice New Business. He was promoted to vice president of the company while at CPW in 2004.
